1.Obey the instruction of the manufacturer for the battery capacity because the diesel engine consumes more electricity than the gasoline engine at the starting time. Insufficiency of the battery capacity may not heat the glow plug sufficiently and may result in starting difficulty. The same phenomenon will occur if the battery is deteriorated.

2.Make sure to select correct glow plug. Mistakes in selection sometimes may result in difficulty of starting (e.g.: using the glow plug specified for 24v in a 12v vehicle) or melting of the glow plug (e.g.: using the glow plug specified for 12v in a 24v vehicle).

3.When it doesn’t start excellently after preliminary heating, continuous feeding of electricity may consume battery power considerably and gives an unfavorable influence upon the service life of the glow plug. Turn the switch to OFF after preliminary heating and turn ON again.

4.When changing glow plugs, make sure that oil, dirt etc. on the outside of the disassembled glow plug does not enter into the cylinder.

5.When mounting the glow plug, clean the engine side of the flange and make sure the glow plug is correctly inline with the thread of the cylinderhead.

6.Make sure the plug is correctly positioned and tighten it by hand until it cannot be tightened any further.
